The Yellow Kapok blooms bright yellow in the top end of the Northern Territory during the dry season. I was lucky to see these and spend time under their bright sunny flowers.
These flowers have big green seed pods underneath them which can also be used for their natural yellow dyes.
This necklace has a sterling silver flower, a mix of upcycled and new beads, and an upcycled clasp. It reaches to 49cm in length with a few cm of length from the flower at the front.
